The
navigation signal timing and ranging global
positioning system (NAVSTAR GPS) is a constellation
of satellites that provides accurate navigation
data to military and civilian users worldwide.
Current civilian applications include air,
road, marine, and rail navigation, search-and-rescue,
and emergency response. Many of the commercially
available receivers are limited to displaying
the position data or redirecting the same
to a computer. This limitation may be inconvenient
in applications where portability is an issue.
This GPS receiver and data logger system uses
a Z8 Encore!® flash memory microcontroller in order to provide
flexibility and data logging capability.
