With
the Z8F6401-based eReminder, no task shall
be forgotten. The eReminder can be programmed
to generate an alert at a specified time with
a reminder message flashing on its LCD. The
keypad is used to store alerts and set the
clock. In addition to the Z8F6401, the hardware
core includes a DS17487 real-time clock with
4-KB SRAM. The complete circuit is designed
around them with a 3 × 4 matrix keypad, a
2 × 16 alphanumeric LCD, and a speaker.
