The
useful Remote Cabin Monitor is a unique system designed for
monitoring in areas without telephone service or AC power. Data
is transmitted via a shortwave link. The LPC2132 microcontroller-based
system can monitor things such as a security system, the temperature,
and battery voltage (to determine if solar cells are functioning
properly).
