Wheelchair Detection System for the Disabled

The detection system uses an in-ground capacitive sensor to recognize the size of a wheelchair or handcart, and then automatically open a door. Additionally, it can serve as a security system by detecting the presence of a person or object near a door, and then warning security personnel or turning on a security camera.
